1979 Painting by Australian Ray Honisett(1931-2019)of Antarctic Ship Thala Dan

Known primarily as an illustrator of aviation art but he was also known as a stamp designer. I read that he designed 40 Stamps for Australia. Did a Google and did not find absolutes as to what I'm selling so just going to list what I read. Honisett painted several images of the Thala Dan(originally a Danish ship)and 1 was to be selected as the cachet of the 1st day cover. THIS PAINTING IS NOT THE ONE USED FOR THE CACHET.To me it looks like a watercolor but I did not see he did watercolors. I can not find any other of his images of the Thala Dan. Or even of any other of the ships he did. I got the impression that the non-cachet paintings were then sold by Fleetwood. The 1st Day of Issue is from MacQuarie Island and is dated 24 Oct 1979. The other insert is info about the Thala Dan. Outside the mat the painting is 14-3/4 x 12-3/4". The white of the ice breaking up at the bow is brighter than the off white of the sky. On the left side is a spot of bright white. Covering up an error? Totally with the wood frame it's 24-3/8 x 23-1/4". Well done frame job that today would cost a fortune. There is a pocket on the back with framing instructions and duplicate copies of the backing from somewhere. One label says "Property of Unicover Corporation, Cheyenne, Wyoming" and a stamped mark that says "Copyright by Fleetwood Division of Unicover Corporation Cheyenne Wyoming 82008 USA". If anyone knows anything and wants to share please email and I'll add to the description. I'm not inclined to ship to Australia because I know that it is very expensive and you would ask how much and I'd have to spend at least 1 hour packaging it to determine the cost to ship.
